'We are the music makers, we are the dreamers of dreams' My musical romance began when I was very young, as I was brought up by parents who had wide and varied musical tastes. Anything from Mike Oldfield, Elton John, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Jean Michel Jarre, Disco and all types of classical music were always playing during my childhood, and music was playing more often than watching the TV. I played the Violin and Piano, enjoying music from the Baroque period such as Vivaldi, Bach, and other composers such as Handel, Elgar, Tchaikovsky and Mussorgsky. In my teens my main influences were bands such as New Order, the Happy Mondays, The Charlatans, Electronic, Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode and the pop music of the time. Around this time, a close friend played Adamski’s album ‘Live and Direct’, when Dance music really took hold of me. I began listening to house, including Innercity, MARRS, and the house tracks of the time. This progresses to Hardcore and the rave scene explosion and along with the rest of the young people in the UK in the early nineties, I danced the night away often in fields where we shouldn’t have been to the Prodigy, SL2, Top Buzz, Carl Cox, Unique 3, Altern 8, Nightmares on wax, and other massively important bands that deserve a mention in their own space. Once the jungle era and DnB kicked in, I still craved the Four to the Floor beats, and began in investigate Techno and all that it stood for. Since moving to the south in 1999, my priority has been to expand my musical horizons, mix and launch a night with friends that features new and exciting new tracks including the house, tech house and techno genres. Our latest successes include launching our own boat party on the River Thames in London last year, and playing at the Mini V Festival near Bristol in aid of various charities, with Russ Harris, Alex Newham and Pete Foxen. My mind always remains open to all types of musical influences. Politically I stand against racism, Nazism, bigotry and support animal and human rights. Everyone has the right to be who they want to be. If anyone wants to know more or just chat, drop me a note. Peace and love to all.
