Gone are the days when Nicki used to listen to mix tapes from his favourite dj`s and collecting and spinning his favourite tracks on a old single record player while he was still at school dreaming of one day he will become a dj who manages to mix in front of a crowd who appreciate the style of music he mixes, first started off with a mic mcing at local under 18 Hardcore events but once he turned 16 and got his first set of turntables that all changed that was nearly 8 years ago.
For the last 4 to 5 years he had been djing and promoting events in various pubs and clubs in Perth, in this time he has mixed along side some cracking dj`s like, Scot Project, Anne Savage, Lisa Pin-up, Mark Sherry, Bobby V, Jason Cortez, Jon the Baptist, Joey Riot, Marc Smith, the Doctor and Obsession to name a few, with this experience Nicki has progressed and improved his ability as a dj by mixing between different styles of music for example: House, Electro, Trance, Techno, Hardcore, Gabber, Drum & Bass and Hip Hop.
The main style Nicki mixes now is Minimal Techno with an Electro influential sound to it, and also on the odd occasion abit a Tech-House or Dirty Electro House aswell as Hardcore. Was resident with a local event in Perth for nearly 3 years called the Bubble Club, aswell as a residency at another local event called Tranz-Tech there you would have found him teasing the crowd with his diverse style of music to warm up what ever dj was playing after him, Nicki was one of three local Perth dj`s that founded the Bubble Club and worked hard along side local Promoter Kev Murphy and local dj Stevie Webster to build up the Bubble Club in to a very successful Hard Dance night in Scotland.
2007 had been a interesting year so far, gained residencies at both Club Underground a new night for local dj`s in Perth mixing Electro & Techno and also Hardcore Temptation mixing UK Hardcore/Freeform and Gabber also in Perth., mixed along side the Doctor and dj Obsession in July just past and also djing along side Scott Brown in September, for the first of many Nicki will travel to Glasgow in October to mix along side the mighty Greek 3 deck wizard Axel Karakasis and Michael Dow at Club Platinum with many in between and after these dates watch this space for more information.
