 Pete Tong presents ‘Wonderland 2009’ is this summer’s definitive dance compilation. Once again compiled and mixed by Tong, the album represents the sound of his Wonderland night, the weekly Ibiza event that has reinvigorated the White Island’s clubbing landscape.
A music obsessive with an immense hunger for new sounds, Pete’s ability to educate and entertain as a DJ is second to none. Accordingly, ‘Wonderland 2009’ is brimming with the right big names and the kind of underground talent that will soundtrack dancefloors over the coming year.
2 CDs of expertly blended house and techno feature current luminaries such as Deadmau5, Steve Angello, Pryda, Radio Slave, Ladyhawke, Dusty Kid, Sebastien Leger, Gui Boratto, 2020 Soundsystem and many more. Big names such as U2 and Underworld make an appearance via Pete’s own Wonderland remixes.
This season, Wonderland has returned to Ibiza’s Eden following a triumphant first year. In keeping with the island’s spirit, Wonderland pulled together people from varied walks of life, teasing old faces back to San Antonio and throwing open a new world of music for Iberican virgins.
2009 features guests including Groove Armada (4 exclusive performances), Fatboy Slim, Eric Prydz, Deadmau5, Luciano, Timo Mass, Dubfire, M.A.N.D.Y, Dirty South, Gui Boratto and an exclusive performance from Lady Gaga. The second room of Wonderland will be hosted by a range of eclectic labels, personalities and club nights including Zane Lowe’s ‘Home Taping Block Party’, Jaymo & Andy George’s ‘Moda’, Nic Fancuilli’s Saved Records, and many more.
Wonderland’s unique artwork has been designed by drum & bass legend turned actor, Goldie. Look out for Wonderland’s arena at Rockness Festival in June and the bimonthly parties at Ministry Of Sound in London over the summer.
