Custard Factory (Funky House)
This is a truely unigue venue, formally a custard factory, and is set around a swimming pool courtyard. Hosting some great nights with music including drum and bass, house and breakbeat this venue is home to some cracking music, a great organic menu and a more dynamic atmosphere than you'd usually associate with this area of Birmingham. The building has a three-tiered, glass-fronted facade and whilst you sip your drinks on the top floor you can watch the lively action and industrial architecture below.
AKA The factory Club. |

Basement (Varied)
Basement in Birmingham actually lies beneath the City and is situated @ Holloway Circus, it is central on the route between New Street Station and Etap Hotel (8 minute walk from both). Having built a reputation with the parties of Beatnik, Trick Disco, Kronic Sounds, Come Up and Jay's House Basement remains solidly underground with its very different approach to the Midland scene. A venue with two very different rooms, one for the obvious and another which transforms with the mood of time. Expect plenty of the same in 2008 as the intimacy evolves. |

Rainbow Warehouse (Hard House/Trance)
This old victorian boozer oozes character and charm with an ability to capture and hold any crowd. The 3 rooms moving away from the mainstream sound infavour of innovative, eclectic and diverse entertainment.
The Rainbow's main feature is the courtyard. An alfresco urban disturbance set against a backdrop of industrial decay, graffiti and regeneration. It's a venue for all seasons with it's retractable roof and heating for the winter months. Adjacent to the courtyard is a smoking area so smokers dont have to pile onto the streets to enjoy a cigarette. The Rainbow courtyard clearly stands out as a unique space.
The turbo PA has provided the sound for Crazy P, Mohair, DJ Derek, The Twang, Clive Henry (DC10) Bill Brewster, Idjut Boys, Alexander Nut, Mixmaster Morris, The Bees and more.
This intimate space has recently enjoyed accolades from The Guardain and The Independant and regular features in The Metro newspaper.
Vice Magazine and Fused magazine have organised parties here and it's the home of BELOW the underground deep house, techno brand that has been recently voted by Mixmag "The UK's most important underground club"

The Rainbow (Varied)
The Rainbow pub has a long legacy and tradition of defiant independence hosting some of the most talked about events and parties in Birmingham over the last 10 years.
The addition of the Rainbow Warehouse, 100yds further up Adderley Street, in early 2008 only served to enhance that reputation as promoters have eagerly sought to utilise a space so unique in the UK: the raw authenticity of a Victorian warehouse combining with an outside area set under a 19th century viaduct that is transformed into a beach in the summer and Garden in the winter. |
