Frantic and HeatUK have hosted many events at Carling Brixton Academy. All practically selling out and drawing huge crowds of loyal clubbers from all over the country. So when the two big names announced they were coming together at their favourite venue we realised this was one not to miss.
I don't know quite what it is about Brixton Academy. It's not small. In fact at 4,500 capacity its one of the biggest clubs in the country, yet it manages to give the impression of a small, intimate club with a fantastic, loved up spirit flowing through the crowds. Nothing can beat standing on the balcony, high above the main dance floor, looking down on the main stage wiith the lasers cutting the air inbetween.
A live PA from Lab 4 and a fantastic entry from the legendary Tidy Boys played alongside the Frantic and HeatUK regulars such as Andy Whitby and Alex Kidd.
Alongside the main stage was a hardcore room in the entrance/foyer that proved extremely popular and the usual corridor room near the cloakrooms.
Once again Supernova was flawlessly organised, although they still need to sort out the problem with the guest list queue at all Brixton Academy events. You really don't want to be left queuing for 1-2 hours.
