With 8 years of drum n bass experience behind them, Rumble has firmly planted itself at the heart of drum n bass in East Anglia. On Easter Sunday they kicked off an allnighter with their biggest event so far, featuring Roni Size, Bad Company, Kenny Ken, Ray Keith and Nicky Blackmarket.
Rumble has constantly sold out at its regular venue (the waterfront) in Norwich and this was repeated in (Kartouche) Ipswich, where we met people from all over East Anglia who had travelled to the Rumble. The atmosphere was great and the dancefloor was rammed.
The venue itself is set in an old barn set over 2 rooms and a balcony. Security was good and there was little or no trouble (while we were there anyway!). Drinks prices were a little steep with a bottle of beer costing £2.70 and a bottle of water costing £1.60 (ouch!). Also the heat began to get a bit unbearable after a while!
